Dev Log - Statera Gan Circus - Day 1

Hello everyone!

I'm excited to share the progress of my game, Statera Gan Circus, which I'm developing for the Big Game Jam 5. The main idea of the game is to follow the player in his attempt to escape the circus of the terrible Mr. Malandro. The theme of the JAM is unbalance, and we are incorporating this in various ways into the gameplay and story.

Cover Art

I started the project by creating the cover art using Blender Grease Pencil. This tool allowed me to capture the essence of our cartoon circus style. I'm really pleased with the result and think it sets the tone of the game well. I'll include some parts of the drawing in this post so you can get a visual idea of what's to come.

Scenario Development

Today, on the first day of the JAM, I also made significant progress in creating the scenarios. I used 3D cubes from GDevelop to build the base of the levels. The goal is to have a procedural design, so each time the player plays, they encounter new challenges and obstacles. There's still a lot of work to be done, but the basic structure is working well.

I'm excited to keep developing Statera Gan Circus and can't wait to share more updates with you in the coming days.

Thank you for following my progress! Stay tuned for more news!
